Municipal Park and Dinosaur Hill Nature Preserve in Rochester, Michigan

Municipal Park


At Municipal Park, the recreation opportunities include:
-Lighted tennis courts
-Open air shelters (the Kiwanis Shelter and the enclosed Lion's Shelter)
-Over a mile of paved walkway
-A pond ( can be used for skating in the winter)
-Restrooms
-Sand volleyball

There are also two tot lots available.  You can find one at the north end off Ludlow Street and the other can be found at the south end at the end of Pine Street.
Paint Creek wanders through the whole park. The Rochester Municipal Park is also home of the Rochester Community House, a not-for-profit service and banquet facility. This facility is accessible from Ludlow Street.

Dinosaur Hill Nature Preserve

Who wouldn't be interested in a park with "dinosaur" in the title? Although you won't be digging up dino remains here, a lot of fun and learning experiences can be had at this dedicated 16 acres of parkland by the city for the Dinosaur Hill Nature Preserve and Nature Center.

The city has partnered with Dinosaur Hill Nature Preserve, Inc. to provide programming for kids of all ages at the Nature Center. Dinosaur Hill Nature Preserve, Inc. is a nonprofit educational corporation supported by memberships, grants, donations, and fund raising projects. The preserve and nature center are very much an central part of the Rochester community, enjoying the support and volunteer help of Rochester area residents and community businesses. Tons of volunteer time has been and continues to be spent in creating and sustaining the preserve, as well as in helping with various fund raising projects.

Trilogy is an active 55+ adult community located in La Quinta California just south of Avenue 60. This gated community is home to several hundred homes at the base of Martinez Mountain. Private, secluded and serene, Trilogy is the perfect getaway either for a retirement home, second home or vacation property.


All homes in Trilogy are single-story floor plans with two, three, and four bedroom layouts from 1350 ft.² to just under 3100 ft.². All properties are nestled around a gorgeous 18-hole golf course, a 28,000 square-foot Santa Rosa clubhouse and a resort style pool and cabana area.

 Let’s first talk a little bit about the golf course. Home of the 2003, 2004 and 2005 and 2006 Skins Game, the Golf Club at La Quinta, also known as the Trilogy golf course is an 18 hole regulation length golf course and has been tried and tested by golf professionals including Tiger Woods. This is been known as one of the "must play in the desert" golf course and there are six different tee boxes to challenge all skill levels. Players have beautiful views of the Santa Rosa Mountains and they can be seen from nearly every hole. Designed by Gary Panks, this course features a 72 par, 6883 yards, a 72.7 rating with 127 slope course. Weekend green fees run around $155 with the daily fee golf course pricing available. There's a driving range, food and beverage and a lounge.

The community itself is a 55 and over active adult neighborhood in the desert playground of the Coachella Valley. Just two hours from Los Angeles and San Diego and 25 minutes from the Palm Springs international Airport, residents enjoy a full lifestyle of amenities including a sports complex, ballroom, swimming pool, lap pool and cabana areas, fitness center, spa facilities and more.

Homeowners in Trilogy are part of a homeowners association charging about $290. Membership is required and the HOA maintains front yard and common areas including private streets, gates, love facilities, tennis courts, pathways and related improvements. Five homeowners are elected to serve two-year terms on the Board of Directors as volunteers. Board members are required to attend monthly meetings that are open to the general membership.

At any given time there are roughly 10 to 20 properties for sale in Trilogy. These homes range in price from about $220,000-$1 million for high end estates and luxury properties.
